The largest UK insurer uses Cobent to help customers improve health
and safety in the workplace - Launches UK-wide accredited H&S training
portal
Norwich Union Risk Services, an integral part of Norwich Union, is
helping its customers improve the standard of health and safety in the
workplace with a new online training portal. Norwich Union Risk
Services is using Cobent Learning Compliance Suite (LCS) to create,
sell and deploy easy-to-use online training for a number of health and
safety related topics to insurance brokers, insured business customers
and any other organisation who might benefit from such training.
The portal, launched on 18th July 2008, makes full use of Cobent LCS's
high-security, industry standard e-commerce functionality alongside its
market leading content management and deployment technology to provide
a seamless ‘on-line' learning environment for organisations of all
sizes.
Cobent LCS will enable owners and employees to log-on, purchase and
complete H&S training courses in a simple and straightforward
environment, with easy access to class-leading training materials.
Mr John Phillips, Norwich Union's Risk Services Training and
Consultancy Manager, said: "The adaptability, scalability and above
all, ease-of-use of the Cobent platform made it the obvious choice for
us.
"The application has all the functionality we require, from online
payment to end-user reporting, and allows us to roll-out our training
message at a very competitive price. Cobent's solution has already
proven itself as the perfect platform for large scale e-learning
applications, offering a high level of flexibility without being
overwhelming for our customers'.
Howard Sears, Cobent's CEO, added: "We are obviously delighted to
announce this new partnership, as it illustrates once again how the
inherent flexibility of Cobent LCS can make it suitable for almost any
learning management requirement. The effort by Norwich Union Risk
Services to deliver workplace health and safety training in support of
an overall commercial insurance package is an exciting strategy and one
that we are proud to be a part of.'
The Cobent LCS is a powerful set
of modules designed to make enterprise wide learning easier to manage
and control. LCS is a browser-based application that provides fully
functional learning, content and training management, offering
organisations the necessary tools to quickly and cost-effectively
create, distribute and track training activities online and offline.
LCS consists of advanced tools that have been built in line with global
compliance standards and in consultation with training managers,
compliance managers and other business professionals who deliver and
manage training daily.
