E-learning jobs facilitated by Learning Light
Having built up an impressive reputation over many years as the place
on the internet to look for, and advertise, jobs within the e-learning
development industry in the UK, the e-Learning Job Centre is going from
strength to strength now that it has come under the auspices of
Learning Light (LL), a non-profit organisation, seeking to establish
itself as a Centre of Excellence in the use of learning technologies in
the workplace.
"This is not a recruitment agency but, rather, is a free service for
jobseekers to advertise their skills and experience - while employers
and recruitment agencies pay just £15 per vacancy to advertise their
e-learning opportunities," said Mark Pittaway, LL's CEO.
"We accept postings from the UK and Europe. We also offer a
notification service for those who want to be alerted to new jobs
and/or jobseekers on the site," he added.
Current job vacancies and job seekers included on the e-Learning Job
Centre cover instructional designers, project supporters, technical
consultants, web programmers and sales personnel including sales
managers.
The e-Learning Job Centre's founder, Jane Knight, who is now LL's head
of research, commented: "Some of the comments we've received from those
who have used our posting service include, 'We took an advert for an
instructional design specialist and had a tremendous response: 23
applications in four days'; 'Within 24 hours of posting my availability
on the e-Learning Job Centre, I had a new contract,' and 'Only 30
minutes after the job had been posted we had already received three
applications - and good ones at that - and a lot more poured in soon
afterwards."
The growing use made of this service - bringing together job seekers
and job providers in the e-learning industry - is a sure sign that the
industry is growing, said Pittaway He added: "Learning Light is
delighted to be playing a key role in facilitating this industry's
growth in this way."
