Waste King identifies key recycling trends as British economy
recovers
The specialist collections, clearance and recycling company, Waste
King, believes that there are signs that the British economy is
starting its recovery with an increase in construction and
maintenance activity in both the trade and domestic sectors.
Glenn Currie, of Waste King, explained: "Not only have we been
receiving more enquiries in recent weeks for waste collection from
domestic customers, who are now installing new kitchens and
bathrooms, but we have increased the number of our regular trade
customers by 30 per cent in the last month.
"That suggests to us that this increase in activity is more than can
be explained away by the onset of spring giving a traditional boost
to building and construction projects," he added.
Waste King, which provides a wide range of waste collection and
recycling services for both domestic and commercial clients
including house clearances, office clearance, shop refurbishments,
general rubbish removal, garden & garage clearance, wait & load and
skip hire, services companies in the fields of property management
and maintenance; interior design; specialist renovation, and general
construction.
"As far as our trade customers are concerned, we’ve also noticed
that they are using fewer skips in which to dispose of their waste,"
Currie said. "Instead, they are choosing to dispose of their waste
in a more environmentally friendly way - and thus reducing the
amount of the waste that ends up in landfill.
"Obviously, this is good news for the environment - and for us,
since our staff segregate customers’ waste, making it easier to
recycle and, sometimes, re-use, greatly reducing the waste burden on
the environment," he continued.
Waste King has publicly pledged its commitment to recycle a
substantial and significant percentage of all the waste it collects
from its customers - thus avoiding using the landfill option
wherever possible. Moreover, it has promised that all the waste it
collects is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
