Cobent appoints David
Priseman as a non-executive director
Cobent, a leading provider of solutions for training and compliance-led
process management across the entire range of international blue-chip
companies, fast-growth start-ups, and public sector organisations, has
appointed David Priseman as a non-executive director.
Priseman who, for the last six years, has been running Hexagon
Associates, a consultancy offering finance and related advisory
services to small and medium sized enterprises in all sectors, was
previously a private banking specialist.
In that capacity, he worked for Deutsche Bank as a senior relationship
manager and, before that, for Banque Paribas in various roles based in
London, Geneva and Paris. During this time, he gained particular
experience working on behalf of Middle Eastern clients in the fields of
wealth management, corporate banking and investment banking.
Priseman holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and an MA in
transport economics from the University of Leeds. His first degree - a
BA in business studies - was gained at Sheffield University.
"Cobent is a company with a great track record and a growing client
base both in the USA and the UK," said Priseman. "In addition, it has
an impressive reputation for delivering high quality tools for
delivering learning content in the most efficient and cost effective
way - especially to staff in highly regulated sectors, such as life
sciences and financial services."
Priseman will be making his industry contacts and considerable
financial experience available to Cobent, advising its board on
business strategy to enable the company to take advantage of its
current market position. In 2007, Cobent saw its revenue increase by 50
per cent over the 2006 total, while recurring revenues rose
substantially and profit margins increased significantly on an annual
turnover in excess of £1m.
Howard Sears, Cobent’s CEO, commented: "David Priseman’s appointment
will help to drive our business forward. David has a wealth of
experience and widespread business knowledge which will help to cement
the Cobent Learning Compliance Suite (LCS) as one of the best known and
most widely used solutions for managing and controlling enterprise wide
learning, especially in a heavily regulated business environment."
