Learning Light helps to promote the The Learning Organisation summit
Learning Light, a non-profit organisation which focuses on integrating
systems and aligning learning and people development programmes to meet
strategic business goals, has become the media partner for a senior
executive summit - 'The Learning Organisation', organised by the
European Networking Group (ENG).
The pan-European event, which takes place at the Hilton in Amsterdam in
the Netherlands on 16th and 17th January 2008, deals with defining,
implementing and renewing corporate learning strategies to accelerate
employee development along with aligning learning with corporate goals
to drive business success. Among the issues that the summit will cover
is how to retain the new generation of best and brightest talent by
designing and implementing innovative education programmes.
Learning Light's CEO, Mark Pittaway commented: "In today's global
economy it is becoming increasingly important for organisations to
align their learning strategies to directly support business
objectives. This event provides an ideal forum for senior executives to
explore what they need to do to develop strategies to help their
organisation move forward.
"Of course learning technologies have a fundamental role play to
facilitate the dissemination of information and transfer of knowledge
across the organisation and help businesses to engage their people in
the change," he added.
Speakers at the event include Charlotte Ruminak, Senior Director of
Talent Management and Learning & Development at Royal Phillips
Electronics; Nigel Jeremy, Head of Learning and Development at easyJet;
Ann Bengtsson, Group Management Development Director at Reed Elsevier;
Francisco Gutiérrez Moro, Head of e/m-learning projects at Teléfonica,
and Volvo Cars' Geoff Glover, Vice President, Human Resources, Learning
and Development.
