Learning Light helps to celebrate excellence in e-learning through
the Insider Yorkshire Digital Awards
Learning Light, a non-profit organisation which focuses on integrating
systems and aligning learning and people development programmes to meet
strategic business goals, is working with Yorkshire Business Insider to
develop and judge a new award - for the best e-learning initiative - in
this year's 'Insider Yorkshire Digital Awards'.
Entries for The Insider Yorkshire Digital Awards 2008 close on 4th
February and the awards ceremony takes place on 8th May at The Royal
Armouries Hall in The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
Learning Light's David Patterson commented: "While we're pleased to be
associated with these awards, we're particularly delighted to have the
chance to help popularise and promote an award that recognises
excellence within the field of e-learning.
"Not only is the e-learning developer community growing in numbers and
economic importance within the region but we believe that it is
important to reward the application of leading edge technology and
creativity in helping people to perform their jobs to the best of their
ability. In that way, these e-learning programmes benefit the entire
community in this region and contribute to its increasing prosperity."
According to Peter Baber, editor of Yorkshire Business Insider: "This
awards programme acknowledges and promotes those companies in Yorkshire
and the Humber that demonstrate excellence in the digital and new media
industries. This year, we are introducing awards for best game,
e-learning initiative and IT consultancy."
