Vado courses now featured on the Learning Light E-Learning Centre
Vado is the latest e-learning production house to have its online
courses added to The E-Learning Centre website.
Vado’s learning courses are designed to help organisations take
action to develop competencies and increase engagement among their
workforce, as well as help new employees to learn about their new
employer quickly and build contacts and friendships with their new
colleagues.
David Patterson, a director of Learning Light, which owns the
E-Learning Centre and provides advice and help to organisations
using e-learning and learning technologies to improve their business
performance, explained: “It’s now well accepted – and research shows
- that 70% of development happens on the job; 20% happens through
coaching and mentoring, and the last ten per cent comes through
formal learning, including e-learning and instructor-led workshops.
“Vado’s courses are the only off-the-shelf courseware that helps
learners to make the transition from the formal learning environment
to applying that learning on the job,” he continued.
“Vado offers over 300 employee and management development/soft skill
courses. Each course contains a one to two minute long instructional
video, designed to maximise learner retention.
“All Vado courses come with a step-by-step Implementation Guide to
help the learner practise the learning and develop on the job.
Learners also have access to a downloadable job aid template,
checklist, or similar tool to help them implement the learning.”
“Basically, Vado not only espouses the 70-20-10 model but its
e-learning courses embody the model’s principles, using the ‘ten per
cent’ to deliver the 70 – and, thus, make the learners and the
organisations they work for more productive and profitable,”
Patterson added.
“We are pleased to partner with Learning Light to provide our unique
learning content that’s ‘changing the face of learning,” commented
Cindy Pascale, Vado’s CEO. “We offer learning content in six areas:
Competency Development, Project Management, Business Writing Skills,
Engagement and Retention, Career Development and Onboarding – or
Induction.”
Vado’s e-learning courses have joined other high quality,
competitively priced online learning content from, among others, the
Virtual College, eJ4, eltalking, Learning Light and the language
specialists, Altissia on the E-Learning Centre website - an
information resource about e-learning and learning technologies.
