10th March 2014
Docebo in Doha for Key HR Conference
Docebo takes part in the HR Trends Symposium, in Doha, on March 17
Naples, Italy, March 10, 2014...To help understand the challenges
posed to human resource (HR) professionals by today's challenging
economic conditions, new approaches to management and leadership,
and the increasing use of technology, delegates from around the
world are gathering at the Concorde Hotel Doha, in Qatar, on March
17, for the HR Trends Symposium.
Exploring how these trends are changing the way that business
operates, the Symposium will pose the key questions:
- How are practices changing among those who lead companies?
- What are the risks associated with these changes - and how might
they be minimised?
- What can be learned from HR practices around the world?
Contributing to the discussion is Claudio Erba, CEO of
Docebo (www.docebo.com),
the global e-learning solutions provider. From 10.15am, in the
hotel's Ras Laffan Halls, he will present a paper on 'Facing the
global economic crisis through human resource and business process
humanization'.
-In today's post-industrial era, successful organizations understand
the importance of a people-centric approach in workplace and
business processes,' he says. 'In this respect, e-learning is the
enabler that helps the re-humanizing of business processes.'
Erba will be presenting the results of recent Docebo research into
the e-learning market. Among the research's findings are that:
- The world market for self-paced e-learning, some $35.6bn in 2011,
is said to be growing, overall, at some 7.6% a year, with the
greatest regional growth happening in Asia, followed by Eastern
Europe, Africa and Latin America.
- The world market for learning management systems (LMS) is
currently worth some $2.55bn a year.
- The e-learning sector worldwide has received some $6bn of venture
capital since 2009.
'The current speed of change means that employees need to be trained
continuously in order for companies to avoid the dangers of being
out-thought and out-maneuvered by competitors,' says Erba.
'We believe these training initiatives need to be monitored and
managed via a consistent and reliable tracking system. This system's
data can be stored, consulted and analyzed for such things as
management reports on productivity and for assessing individuals'
career advancement.'
Docebo will also be exhibiting its products and services during the
Symposium. Recently, it released the latest version - 6.2 - of its
e-learning platform: a learning management system (LMS) Cloud
Solution which supports Enterprise Learning from end-to-end.
In January this year, Docebo version 6.1 was placed seventh in the
world's top 50 learning management systems (LMSs), by the
independent market analyst Craig Weiss, of
E-Learning 24/7. Despite Docebo 6.1's high standing among the world's LMSs, the new version
contains numerous improvements and enhancements.
Docebo 6.2's Enterprise Cloud Solution (ECS) offers more flexible
pricing options and enables organizations to achieve improved
performance via such things as an ILT-Classroom App, which allows
trainers to organize Courses and Sessions, Classrooms, Locations,
Enrollments, Assessments and Evaluations.
'Today's workforce needs knowledge, skills and abilities that are
aligned with business objectives, while managers need to track the
effectiveness of learning programmes,' says Josh Squires, Docebo's
Chief Operating Officer, EMEA.
'Our approach helps re-humanize business processes through
e-learning as companies become more people-centric. That's why
future versions of Docebo's platform will take account of the
growing trend towards gamification and also integrate with social
learning and salesforce software.'
