Docebo's new release focuses on Partners' and Customers' training
via Extended Enterprise features
Athens, Georgia, USA, April 27, 2015 The latest version - 6.6
- of Docebo's Cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Enterprise
learning management system (LMS) offers a range of refinements and
enhancements to its features and apps, improving the LMS's
modularity.
Ranked among the world's top six LMSs - out of some 650 - in January
this year by independent market analyst,
Craig Weiss, Docebo's e-learning platform currently has over
28,000 installations around the world and offers an enterprise
solution for mid-sized to large organizations.
According to Docebo's CEO, Claudio Erba, providing training for your
partners, dealers, customers and even prospects - the idea behind
the Extended Enterprise (EE) approach - is gaining momentum around
the world.
Consequently, the new version of the Docebo LMS includes refinements
that EE customers will find useful, including an enhanced
multi-domain app, which manages multiple clients with unique domains
from a single LMS. The enhancement improves the user experience as
well as providing automatic setup for domain configuration and
http(s) addresses for the various domains.
For EE customers, this makes the Docebo LMS a 'multi-domain,
multi-branding, multi-layout' solution. This addresses the main core
of EE - enabling customers to establish a different brand and layout
for each domain within a single LMS, while focusing on different
training targets.
'EE learning is any training, knowledge, certification or
performance support provided to your non-employees - such as channel
distribution partners, resellers, dealers, franchises, members,
customers and end-users of your products and services,' Claudio
explained. 'EE learning is facilitated by a Cloud-based LMS, such as
Docebo's - to keep track of users, content and the relationship
between the two.'
Another big improvement involves the expansion of the LMS's popular
widgets feature, now allowing the first page that users see after
logging in to be a highly configurable user dashboard created by the
LMS's administrator.
As a result, it's possible to have multiple configurations saved and
assigned to different user groups, such as managers, administrators
and learners, to create a unique and personalized learning
experience. As the top independent e-learning analyst, Craig Weiss,
has said: 'Docebo is uniquely modular in that you can customize your
LMS, activating or de-activating apps in order to fit your training
requirements.'
In addition, the new release introduces a training and
re-certification app which allows administrators to create training
certifications that validate users' skill levels for various topics.
Users get the certification by completing designated courses,
learning plans, or approved external activities. Delivery and
expiration policies, related to the certifications, can be
configured according to the organization's specific needs.
Given that certification requirements change, one of the most
powerful features of this app is its ability to allow for courses to
change during the re-certification process. This enables
certification providers to update their courses to meet the latest
requirements, without the learners having to re-take learning
content that they have already studied.
There's also a module that enables administrators to store test
questions in a question bank for re-use across multiple
assessments/evaluations. This allows for single-sourcing questions
among multiple tests via internal links to questions - and, once a
question is updated, its changes are propagated automatically
without the need to edit every assessment, including that question.
Blogging about his most recent Report, which names the world's top
50 LMSs, Craig Weiss said of the Docebo LMS, 'I love the one click
app into the platform, and the inclusion of content into the LMS.
Docebo is a disruptor in the industry, which has feature sets to
contend with in the market.'
