ISMM survey shows organisations value CRM
but prefer home-grown systems
A survey of customer
relationship management (CRM) systems - organised by the Institute
of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM), the UK's association for
sales professionals - reveals that some 77 per cent of organisations
in the UK now use a CRM system. Moreover, 60 per cent of
organisations are satisfied or very satisfied with their CRM system.

Confidence and ISMM qualifications for
NEET young people's group
A group of unemployed young people in Bedfordshire have not
only improved their job prospects and their overall confidence
levels but have achieved a professional business qualification as
well. The young people - who were all ‘not in education, employment
or training' (NEETs) - were taking part in a three month long,
part-time, course which was run by Eureka Youth CIC on behalf of
Central Bedfordshire Council to help address the national and local
issue of unemployment among young people.

ISMM encourages compliance training
relating to the new Bribery Act
On 1st July 2011 the UK Bribery Act comes into effect -
creating a new raft of criminal offences. Under the new act,
corporate failure to prevent bribery on the part of any employee -
including third party agents - will be punishable by significant
fines and, potentially, jail sentences for directors and others.

apprenticeship certificate
Ofqual, the UK Government qualifications regulatory body
which ensures that qualifications are of the highest standard
through its rigorous quality assurance procedures, has officially
'recognised' the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM)'s
Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Selling.
